Legal & Compliance Information
Important information about therapy services, privacy, and professional boundaries.
Website Disclaimer
This website is for informational purposes only and does not establish a therapist-client relationship. A therapist-client relationship is only established after:
- • A consultation meeting
- • Review and signing of informed consent documents
- • Completion of intake paperwork
- • Mutual agreement to begin services
Information on this website should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health services or diagnosis.
Mental Health Emergency
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please do not rely on website communication. Take immediate action:
- Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room
- Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7)
- Text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line
These resources are free, confidential, and available 24/7.
Telehealth & Location
Therapy services are available to clients located in Texas at the time of service. This is required by Texas state licensing laws for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW). If you are located outside of Texas or planning to relocate, please contact me to discuss availability.
Contact Forms & Privacy
Please do not include sensitive clinical information, emergency concerns, or confidential health information in website contact forms or standard email.
Website contact forms and email are for general inquiries only and are not secure channels for protected health information. If you need to share sensitive information:
- • Schedule a consultation first
- • Wait for secure communication channels to be established
- • Share health information only through HIPAA-compliant secure messaging
Fees & Insurance
I welcome private pay clients and accept a limited number of insurance clients depending on availability, plan eligibility, and clinical fit.
Insurance coverage and benefits should be verified with your insurance company before beginning services. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm:
- • Coverage for individual therapy with an LCSW
- • Your copay, coinsurance, and deductible amounts
- • Whether a referral or pre-authorization is required
- • In-network vs. out-of-network benefits
Fees and insurance policies will be discussed during your consultation and documented in your service agreement.
No Surprises Act Notice
The federal No Surprises Act requires health care providers to provide patients with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the cost of healthcare services before treatment begins. This applies to patients who are uninsured, paying out-of-pocket, or whose services may not be covered by insurance.
What This Means for You
- • If you are uninsured or paying out-of-pocket, you have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before your services begin
- • The estimate will include the expected cost of therapy sessions, frequency of visits, and duration of treatment
- • You will not receive a bill that is substantially higher than the estimate provided
- • My fees will be discussed during your initial consultation, and a written service agreement will be provided
Insurance Patients
If you are using insurance to pay for services, your out-of-pocket costs depend on your specific plan, coverage, and deductible status. I encourage you to verify your benefits and ask me any questions about costs before your first session. If you have insurance and receive a bill that seems incorrect, please contact me immediately so I can help clarify the charges.
Clinical Approach & Specialized Services
I use trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and nervous-system-based therapeutic approaches. These may include:
- • EMDR therapy for trauma processing
- • Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) for emotion regulation and skills
- • Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) for nervous system regulation
- • IFS-informed care for internal family systems work
- • Attachment trauma work for relational healing
- • Ketamine-assisted therapy when clinically appropriate and in collaboration with qualified medical providers
Your specific treatment plan will be discussed and agreed upon during the consultation and intake process.
